Ingrid Bergman was born in Stockholm, Sweden on 29th August 1915. She made several successful films in Sweden and went to Hollywood in 1939 to make "Intermezzo". Many more successful films followed, all of them marked by her fine acting. She was also a successful stage actress. In 1949 she went to Italy to work with Roberto Rossellini, married him and had three lovely children: Robertino and twins Isabella and Ingrid. She also had a daughter, Pia, from her first marriage. Following several films with Rossellini, Ingrid filmed "Anastasia" for 20th Century Fox and won her second Oscar. Several very much acclaimed films followed, especially "The Inn of the Sixth Happiness". During her later years Ingrid enjoyed acting on the stage as well as filming. Her third husband was theatre producer Lars Schmidt. Ingrid made her home in London and it was there that she died of cancer on her 67th birthday in 1982. She had won three Oscars and many other acting awards. I'll always love you, Ingrid!
